Pottery Throwing Crash Course

This is a focused, beginner-friendly wheel-throwing crash course, designed to help you build real skills in a short time.
The course runs for 2.5 months, with two classes per week — 5 sessions in total.

You’ll learn the full pottery process step-by-step:

• Preparing and wedging clay

• Centering and throwing on the wheel

• Trimming your forms

• Glazing your finished pieces

Our experienced instructor will guide you closely throughout the course. With a maximum of 6 students per class, you’ll get plenty of individual attention and hands-on support.

This course is suitable for students who have already taken at least one beginner throwing taster session (with us or elsewhere). We want to ensure everyone comes in knowing they enjoy wheel throwing and are ready to develop further — it is a demanding but rewarding craft!

By the end of the course, you’ll take home 3–5 beautifully finished ceramic pieces that you made entirely from scratch.
